PBA: Bohn holds qualifying lead during regional

JASPER, Ind. — PBA Hall of Famer Parker Bohn averaged 234.63 to hold the qualifying lead heading into Sunday’s match-play round during the PBA50 greater Jasper Central/Midwest Open at Eastown Rereation Center.

Bohn finished with 1,877 total pinfall, nine pins ahead of Decatur, Ill., right-hander Tom Adcock.

Bohn, a Jackson, N.Y., left-hander, topped the 39-player field that was cut to the top 12 for Sunday’s round-robin match-play round of 12 games.

The cut to the top 12 was at 1,624, wth Dayton’s Brian Kretzer missing the final spot by 12 pins. 

Area players failing to advance include Vermillion’s John Shreve Jr. (1,588).
