FATHER, SON COMPETE FOR YOUNGSTOWN MASTERS TITLE
WARREN — Adam Barta stopped his son, Logan Barta, 256-204 to claim the Youngstown Masters Challenge recently at Freeway Lanes-Warren,
Barta, the No. 1 seed entering the stepladder round, finished with 2,988 total pinfall over 12 qualifying games. The field bowled four qualifying games each at Holiday Bowl, Freeway Lanes and Boardman Lanes before the field was cut to the top five for the stepladder finals.
Logan Barta, the No. 3 seed, defeated second-seeded Aaron Gall 210-169 in the semifinal match. Gall finished with 2,814 total pinfall; Logan had 2,739.
Other top finishers were fourth, Nick Ferrara , and Anthony Rosenberg, fifth, both with 2,723 forcing a rolloff for placement. Logan won his opening match against Ferrara 279-233.
COLLEGE BOWL DOUBLES SET
College Bowl Tournaments will be holding its next event, a regular doubles, at 10 a.m. April 9 at AMF Hall of Fame Lanes.
Doubles teams will bowl four qualifying games before the field is cut to the four teams for single-game match play based on a field of 24 teams. Entry fee is $130 per team, with first place paying $940.

TRIWAY HOLDS BAKER DOUBLES
WOOSTER — Triway Lanes will be holding a Carry Your Partner Baker Doubles at 3 p.m. April 30.
Teams will bowl three individual games each before bowling five Baker System games. entry fee is $80 per team.

CONFERENCE BANQUET SET
The Stark County High School Bowling Conference will be held at 3:30 p.m. April 10 at Santangelo’s Party Center in Massillon.
The conference will honor its championship teams, state qualifiers and all-conference teams at this time. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m.
In addition, the conference’s annual All-Star Match is set for 9 a.m. April 16 at AMF Hall of Fame Lanes. The format will be two regular games followed by three Baker System games.
Rosters will be announced at a later date.
SPINS BOWL TOPS SENIOR TRAVELING
Spins Bowl #1 captured the Ellsworth Auto Body-Budweiser Senior Traveling League title Thursday with a 4-3 win over Strike Zone #1 at Park Centre Lanes.
Spins Bowl rolled three identical games of 1,079 en route to taking the title.
Team members of the title team include Frank Adkins, Paul Smart, Bob Arnold, Dan Simmons and Jack Rexrode.
