Bowling briefs: Stark USBC holds youth drive

CANTON — The Stark County Youth Committee will be holding an equipment drive for the youth in our area from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Canton Amateur Sports Hall of Fame, 1414 Market Ave. N. This is for juniors that are in high school or younger. The group will have a huge selection of donated items such as bowling balls, bags, shoes and a few other things. It will be trying to limit the accepted items to one or two player child.

The most available items are bowling balls in different weights.

Items can be accepted on a first come, first served basis on that date. For any questions, contact the Stark County USBC via Facebook on Messenger.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get started in the sport or for those that need some more equipment to take their game to the next level,” the Stark USBC said in a release. “We’re very excited about this!”
