DAYTON — Trisha Reid shot 299 in Game 2 of the semifinal round and added 276 during her final game to maintain her lead following 12 games at the Ohio Queens on Saturday at Beaver Vu Lanes.
Reid, who led after the initial six qualifying games, added 1,483 total pinfall in the afternoon six-game session to open a 135-pin lead over Mary Tang (2,895-2,757). Reid averaged 241 on the day.
The remaining 16 bowlers following the cut advanced to double-elimination match play on Sunday to eventually determine the champion. Matches will be two games each, with total pinfall determining the winners.
A stepladder finals will be held when the field is reduced to five players.
Among others making the cut are Melissa Voytko (fifth, 2,710), Marissa Allison (sixth, 2,648) and Jodi Woessner (seventh, 2,644).
Toledo’s Natalie Miskiel was the final qualifier with 2,569, finishing just six pins ahead of Cleveland’s Alexis Cloud. Both shot 248 during their final games.
Massillon’s Mandi Testa failed to advance to match play, finishing 34th overall with 2,449.
