FAIRLAWN — Nearly 200 individuals along with 200 doubles teams participated during Hit Dem Pockets annual MLK Classic at AMF Riviera Lanes.
The three-day event drew 186 singles participants, with Kyle Kalinowski rolling a 786 series to take first place in final official results. He finished seven pins ahead of Anthony Lumpkin (779), with Justin Best taking third (774).
In handicap doubles, the team of Ryan Liederbach (773) and Jason Bowles (749) took first in unofficial results with 1,522, while Bowles (738) also teamed with Anthony Phillips (773) to take second with 1,511. The team of Mike King (761) and Brandon White (736) was third with 1,497.
In mixed doubles, Bowles (738) also finished at the top with Judy King (755) with 1,493, finishing just 12 pins ahead of King (718) and Roberts Brooks (763) with 1,481.

TOURNAMENTS UPCOMING
SENIOR TRIO: A senior trio tournament is set for 11 a.m. Feb. 16 at Park Centre Lanes. The events is open to players age 50 or older and it is a handicap event, with handicap being based on 70 percent of 220 per bowler. Entry fee is $105 per team, with first place being worth $750, based on 24 teams. The format is three regular games to determine a winner, Poling Painting is the tournament sponsor Brackets and eliminator side action will be available. JOHN KLONOWSKI MEMORIAL SINGLES: The 32nd annual John Klonowski Memorial Scratch Singles is set for 9 a.m. Feb. 4 at Eastbury Bowling Center in Canton. Several changes have been made to the event this season, which has an entry fee of $120. See more on the event here:

COLLEGE BOWL TOURNAMENTS: The next College Bowl Tournaments event is a senior-junior doubles event set for 10 a.m. Feb. 10 at Eastbury Bowling Center. Doubles teams must have one bowler age 50 or older, but can have two. Entry fee is $130 per team, with teams rolling four qualifying games before the field is cut to the top four teams for single-game elimination matches. MSBS STATION 300 AKRON DOUBLES: The MSBS Station 300 Akron House Shot Baker Doubles is set for 11:30 a.m. Jan. 27 at Station 300 Akron (formerly Stonehedge). Entry fee is $120 per team, with teams rolling eight Baker System games before the field is cut too the top 16 for two-game elimination matches by seed. First place is worth $2,200 based on 90 teams. YOUNGSTOWN MASTERS: The annual Youngstown Masters is set for 10 a.m. Jan. 27 and 3 p.m. Jan. 28 at Holiday Bowl in Struthers. Bowlers will bowl three five-game qualifying rounds on three Kegel oil patterns over a two-day period before the field is cut to the top five for the stepladder finals. First place is worth $2,000, based on 50 entries. This is a sanctioned event. TRIWAY LANES: Andrew Smith finished with a 950 series to top a 22-player field during Triway Lanes’ Sport Shot Sweeper on Sunday. Smith finished 85 pins ahead of Bobby Wenger (875), with Chad Harper (870), Shawn Jackitich (855) and Les Mann (832) gaining the remaining cash spots. Mann finished just two pins ahead of Vince Yoder. Bowlers bowled four games in the event.
SCRATCH SINGLES SWEEPER: A Spins Bowl Akron scratch singles sweeper is set for 6 p.m. Jan. 28 at Spins Bowl Akron. Entry fee is $55. The format is four qualifying games before the field is cut to the top four individuals for a stepladder finals. For information, contact Frank Dallas on Facebook.
MSBS OVER 50-UNDER 50 DOUBLES: In Lansing, Mich., Graham Fach and Michael Haggitt teams up to captured the title with a win over Ken Wyatt and Kyle King in the over 50-under 50 scratch doubles event at Royal Scott Golf & Bowl. The event was coordinated by MSBS and Jody Boyd. The event drew 67 total teams. Bowlers bowled five games before the field was cut for a two-game eliminator round followed by single-elimination rounds.
OHIO QUEENS: The Ohio USBC Queens tournament is set for noon Jan. 27 at AMF Riviera Lanes in Fairlawn, with the full field starting play with a six-game qualifier. At the conclusion of round 1, the top half of the field will bowl six more games beginning at 4 p.m. with pins carrying over. At the conclusion of that round, the field will be cut to the top 16 to return at 9 a.m. Jan. 28 for double elimination match play until just five remain for the stepladder finals.
