SOB Honor Roll: First week

Here is our first honor roll for the 2024-25 fall-winter bowling season. 

We will attempt to stay caught up on big series and 300 games shot during the 2024-25 winter season.

During the 2023-24 season, we had 73 recorded 800 series in the five-county-area that were reported to us.

In addition, we will attempt to supply special recognition to bowlers who shot 300 games or women who recorded 700 series during the season. Below this first list are forms that can be either emailed to us at snierw@gmail.com or sent via text to 330-280-7504 once they are completed.

We are depending on the bowlers to supply this information so that we may recognize their accomplishments.

Here then is our first list of 2024-25:

800 SERIES

(73 last winter season; 4 this season): 1, David Randazzo 862; 2, Dustin Dingler (Park Centre) 822; 3, Kevin Schott (Eastbury) 802; 4, Kade Rainsburg (Wabash) 802.

300 GAMES

MIKE SPITALE JR.: The 63-year-old Canton right-hander had his 50th career 300 in the Pizza Oven Classic league at Park Centre. He used his Global 900 ball to finish with a 769 series after 300 in Game 2. “My memory will be just achieving my goal of 50 300 games,” said Spitale, who is a manager for Van’s Tire Pros.

ZACH McCUTCHAN: the 19-year-old Canton two-handed righty hit 300 in Game 3 of his 755 series in the Honeymoon Restaurant league at Park Centre. The Park Centre employee has three career 300 games and used his Motiv Pride Liberty for the milestone.

GARY LIBER: The 58-year-old Jackson Township left-hander hit 300 in Game 1 of his 716 series in the Pizza Oven Classic league at Park Centre. Employed in maintenance at Kenan Advantage Group, he now has over 20 300 games to go along with over 10 800 series, including a high of 826. “It was my first game of the season. It’s all downhill from here,” said Liber, who used a Storm Summit Peak for the milestone.
