INDIANAPOLIS — Andrew Anderson completed his near wire-to-wire lead of the 2025 U.S. Open presented by Go Bowling, securing the top seed for the extended stepladder finals.

Anderson will be joined in Sunday’s championship round by three former U.S. Open champions: EJ Tackett, Chris Via and François Lavoie.

Those four players will meet the winner of Saturday afternoon’s preliminary stepladder finals (4 p.m. on FS1), featuring the fifth through ninth qualifiers.

Anthony Simonsen, the 2022 U.S. Open champion, headlines the quintet of players vying for the final berth in the championship round.

As the No. 5 qualifier, Simonsen will be the top seed for the first-part of the stepladder finals.

Tom Daugherty, 18-year-old Landin Jordan, Kris Prather and last week’s champion Graham Fach also advanced.

Jason Belmonte, who sought to win his second U.S. Open and complete an unprecedented second Super Slam, finished 10th. After 48 games, Belmonte trailed Fach by 25 pins.
