
NORTH CANTON — The Uno, Dos, Tres team from Hartville claimed overall honors and topped the 18U division during the trio event of the second Mini Citi Youth tournament Sunday at Park Centre Lanes.
The Stark County USBC event, which drew 44 players during the doubles and singles portion Saturday and 13 trio teams Sunday, paid out $1,707 to USBC SMART accounts for top finishers.
In the 18U trios, the team of Andrew Venus, Aiden Chetto and Steven Villagomez took first with 2,070 total pinfall, Venus and Villagomez also were part of the 2024 Mini Citi trio champions.
Uno, Dos, Tres finished just 12 pins ahead of Lake Blue Streaks (2,058).
There also was a repeat in the 12U division as the Strikers from North Canton, consisting of Connor Bloomquist, Paisley Heighway and Evin Murphy, took honors with 2,031.
The 3 Amigos out of Uniontown topped the 15U division with 2,053 to finish third overall.
This was a handicapped event, with trio teams bowling three games.
ALL-EVENTS WINNERS
Perry High School senior left-hander Dylan Parsons topped the tourney in scratch all-events with 1,887, also capturing the 18U division by 138 pins over Lake sophomore Benjamin Venus (1,749).
Villagomez topped the 15U all-events with 1,829, while Bloomquist was high in the 12U with 1,210.

GREAT LAKES JUNIOR GOLD
AKRON — The Great Lakes Junior Gold Tour held an event Sunday at Spins Bowl Akron with 95 players competing for scholarship funds and spots at Junior Gold.
Competition was in girls and boys divisions for 12U, 15U, 18U and college bowlers.
The list of winners included:
12U: Brooklyn Skelton (girls), Kaden Kelso (boys)
15U: Faith Wisen (girls), Chase Kaufman (boys)
18U: Jady Voegle (girls), Trevor Stretch (boys)
College: Edwin Ortiz
Tournament bowlers rolled six games in a sweeper format over six pairs of lanes, with a GLJGT oil pattern being used.
