PBA: Simonsen, Fach round of USA vs. World rosters

PBA Communications

The rosters for the sixth PBA USA vs. The World event are now finalized.

Anthony Simonse and Canada’s Graham Fach clinched the fourth berth on the respective USA and World teams.

Simonsen led all American players in 2026 PBA Tour points following the PBA Indiana Classic on March 22.

Simonsen, who finished runner-up in the Go Bowling U.S. Open and won the Groupon PBA Illinois Classic, ranked second overall in points. He trailed only American captain EJ Tackett.

Andrew Anderson and Ethan Fiore, who Tackett tabbed as his captain’s picks on Feb. 15, round out the American squad.

Fach finished third in the season-opening PBA Players Championship — the same event he won 10 years ago to become the first-ever Canadian champion on the PBA Tour — before winning the PBA Pete Weber Classic on March 1.

He will join a heralded World squad led by captain Jason Belmonte of Australia and Belmonte’s selections: Sweden’s Jesper Svensson and England’s Dom Barrett .

Belmonte, Svensson and Barrett are each their respective country’s all-time leader in PBA Tour titles. Fach ranks second in Canadian history behind Francois Lavoie.

All eight players in the event are major champions.

PBA USA vs. The World Format

Match 1: singles, EJ Tackett vs. Jason Belmonte
Match 2: doubles, USA vs. World (teams selected by Tackett and Belmonte)
Match 3: full-team baker
Match 4: full-team baker

Tackett defeated World captain Jason Belmonte in the Captains Match at the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame in Arlington, Texas.

For his win, Tackett earned the right to select Team USA’s starting/finishing lane in the televised match. He also will get to set his lineup after Belmonte, giving the Americans a small strategic advantage.

A Captains Match rematch will kick off the PBA vs. the World broadcast, airing Saturday, April 4 on CBS and Paramount+ (check local listings for time).

Tackett and Belmonte will take to the bench and send two of their teammates into the fray for a doubles match.

The final two matches will be full-team baker, where players rotate who bowls each frame.

The first player will bowl the first, fifth and ninth frames, while the anchor will bowl the second, sixth and 10th frames. The third player will bowl the third and seventh frame with the fourth player bowling in the fourth and eighth frames.

Each match is worth one point and the total score for all four games is worth two points.
