Youth bowling: USBC Youth Rankings seen as new platform for competitive bowlers

USBC Communications

ARLINGTON, Texas – The United States Bowling Congress is introducing a new way for competitive youth bowlers to track their performance and celebrate their accomplishments with the initial launch of the USBC Youth Rankings – Powered by Junior Gold, the first national and state-based ranking system of its kind for competitive youth bowlers in the United States.

The initial launch will serve as a testing and evaluation phase for the new platform, allowing USBC to introduce the rankings to the youth bowling community while continuing to incorporate competitive results, evaluate the system and gather feedback from athletes, parents, coaches and other users. Rankings may shift during this phase as additional data is added and refinements are made.

The USBC Youth Rankings – Powered by Junior Gold is designed to recognize competitive youth bowlers while providing athletes, parents and coaches with a trusted way to follow performance throughout the season. By bringing together competitive results from multiple sources, the rankings are intended to provide an increasingly comprehensive view of an athlete’s accomplishments and progress.

Available as an exclusive Junior Gold membership benefit, the USBC Youth Rankings will give athletes an ongoing view of their competitive journey, allowing them to measure their progress, highlight accomplishments and increase their visibility within the youth bowling community.

The rankings use multiple sources of competitive data to recognize youth bowlers based on their performance in competition. As additional results are added throughout the season, the system is designed to evolve and provide athletes with an increasingly comprehensive picture of their competitive success.

Rankings will be updated periodically, giving youth bowlers the opportunity to track their progress throughout the season and see how their competitive performances impact their position at both the state and national levels.

Youth bowlers, parents and coaches are encouraged to explore the rankings, follow their progress and provide feedback as the platform continues to develop.

“The introduction of the USBC Youth Rankings marks another important step in providing competitive youth bowlers with tools that recognize their achievements and allow them to follow their development throughout the season,” said USBC executive director Chad Murphy. “This initial launch also gives us an opportunity to learn from the data and from the youth bowling community. We’re excited to see these rankings come to life and, over time, evolve in ways that can provide even greater value to youth bowlers as they continue to compete, improve and pursue their goals.”
