H.S. Bowling: Division II state tournament glance

WHAT: OHSAA Division II State Bowling Tournament

WHEN: March 4 (boys) and 5 (girls), 10:45 a.m. state (gates open at 9 a.m.)

SITE: Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl in Columbus

FIELD: Sixteen teams, 16 individuals

FORMAT: Three regular games, three Baker System games; individual qualifiers bowl three regular games. Field then cut to top eight for best-of-five match-play rounds by seed.

TICKETS: On line only at www.ohsaa.org/tickets; adult tickets are $13 and students are $10.

NOTES: Unlike format at Northeast District, two teams will be bowling on one pair of lanes during qualifying. Individuals will have eight players on a pair. … There will be a break between qualifying and the announcement of advancing teams and the All-Ohio teams. All-Ohio has the top five individual finishers on the first team, places six through 10 on the second team and 11 through 15 as honorable mention.
