PBA50: Angelo leads top five into stepladder

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Lockport, N.Y., right-hander Brad Angelo stopped Hall of Famer Parker Bohn III 267-257 in the final game of their three-game match to earn the top seed For Thursday’s stepladder finals of the PB50 Lightning Strikes Lanes Open.

The opening match of Thursday’s finals will feature Hall of Famer Walter Ray Williams Jr. against Estero, Fla., right-hander Jon Rakoski.

The winner of that match will face Hall of Famer Chris Barnes, with Highland Village, Texas, right-hander Dino Castillo holding down the No. 2 spot.

The champion will earn $7,500 for the victory.

Williams stopped No. 1 qualifier Tom Adcock in the round of 16, winning the final game of the three-game set 212-194.

Castillo stopped Rakoski in the Round of 8 to earn the No. 2 seed.

Tonight’s finals will air live at 7 p.m. on BowlTV.
