Ohio USBC: Hostetler claims all-events title

TOLEDO — Uniontown’s Joe Hostetler finished with 2,239 total pinfall to claim the all-events actual title as the 2022 Ohio State USBC Open Championships concluded at Interstate and Southwyck lanes.

Hostetler took the title by just four pins over Cincinnati’s Charles Easton to claim the top prize and jacket.

Perry Township’s Paul Sanko finished 11th overall with 2,104.

Hostetler also finished third overall in scratch singles with a 757 series as Easton claimed that title with 802, the lone 800 shot during the event. Hostetler also teamed with Scott Kelly to finish third in scratch doubles with 1,469.

Timothy Carey and Patrick Dombrowski teamed for the scratch doubles title with 1,484.

The scratch team title went to Cincinnati’s Riding Kenny’s Coattails with 3,425.

Wadsworth’s Alex Walton took the all-events handicap title with 2,349, with Paulding’s Kaylie Tressler finishing second (2,277). Hostetler was third with his actual total and zero handicap.

In team handicap, Coldwater’s Pla-Mor Lanes #12 took honors with 3,588, 103 pins ahead of Spencerville’s Lyn-Lee Lanes (3,485).

In handicap singles, Spencerville’s Paul Volbert took honors with 863, 14 pins ahead of Bellefontain’s Shane Jenks (849).

In doubles handicap, the Celina team of Jordan Howard and Kevin Adams took honors with 1,526, 11 pins ahead of Lakewood’s Kaylyn Bailey and Darion Katynski (1,515).
