The PBA Central Region has three events schedule for three consecutive September weekends, with PBA50, PBA60 and regular players scheduled to participate.
The list of events, which all carry free admission for Saturday qualifying times and Sunday final rounds, will begin with Friday pro-am events.
- The PBA50 J.D. Producing Inc.-Triway Lanes Central Open is set for Sept. 9 through 11 at Triway Lanes in Wooster. Qualifying squads of eight games are set for 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sept. 10 before the field is cut to the top one-third for the eight-game casher’s round at 9 a.m. Sept. 11, followed by the stepladder rolloff at 2 p.m. For pro-am and tourney information, call 330-262-2451.
- The PBA Wabash Lanes Member-Non-Member Central Open is set for Sept. 16 through 18 at Wabash Lanes in New Philadelphia. Eight-game qualifying squads are set for 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sept. 17 before the field is cut to the top 12 teams for Sept. 18 bracket match-play, based on 36 teams. A pro-am is set for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 16, with openings still available for teams and high school teams interested. For information, call (330) 602-0300.
- The PBA50-PBA60 Doubles-Park Centre Lanes Open is set for Sept. 23 through 25 at Park Centre Lanes in North Canton. An eight-game qualifier is set for 10 a.m. Sept. 24, with the field being cut to the top 12 for the Sept. 25 round-robin match-play at 9 a.m. A pro-am is set for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23, with competition in youth, high school-collegiate, adult, senior and special olympics divisions with a $25 entry fee. Bowlers will roll three 9-pin, no-tap games with three different pros. The pro-am is in memory of former Park Centre owners Fred Smith and Dick Behra. For information, call (330 499-0555.
