THIS WEEK’S 300 GAMES

NICK EMBROGNO: The 28-year-old Embrogno had his fifth career 300 in the Consumers National Bank Thursday Night Scratch league at Minerva Bowl. Embrogno, math tutor and bowling coach in the Minerva Local Schools, hit 300 in Game 1 of his 742 series using a Track Latitude. “I had just worked 12 hours straight at the school because of parent-teacher conferences and I came in two frames late with no practice balls,” Embrogno said. “I was just thrilled to get the first strike, let along the next 11.”

FORREST FRILEY: The 72-year-old Navarre left-hander had his seventh career 300 in the Akron All-Star Traveling league at North Woods in Macedonia. The retiree hit 300 in Game 3 of his 738 series. He has a high career series of 795 and used his Track Stealth for the milestone game. “I’ll remember the encouragement of my teammates and the other team, especially in the 10th frame,” Friley said. “It helped me to maintain my confidence.”

ROB McPHERSON: The 53-year-old McPherson had his sixth career 300 in the Eagles 190 league at AMF Hall of Fame Lanes. McPherson, who had his 300 in game 3 of his 699 series, has two 800 series, with a high of 806.. He used a 900 Global Zen for his latest milestone. “My dad passed away in June, and I was wearing his angel pin on my Bowlfli jersey during the game,” McPherson said.
