H.S. bowling: Triway girls set two records, Dec. 14 scores

WOOSTER — Triway High School’s girls bowling team set a pair of record during Wednesday’s 2,821-2,156 victory over neighborhood rival Wooster at Wayne Lanes.

Junior left-hander Emma Yoder set the school record for individual two-game series with games of 277 and 256 for a 533 series, topping the mark set a year ago by fellow junior Addy Meshew of 513.

The defending Division II state champion Titans also broke the school record for team total with 2,821. In addition to Yoder, Meshew added a 407 series, followed by Lindsay Miller (397), Kennedy Finley (385) and Danielle Densmore (359).

Wooster, a former Stark County Conference member now in the Ohio Cardinal Conference, was led by Abbie Leiendecker’s 499 series, including games of 269 and 230.

Triway’s boys also emerged with a 2,851-2,658 win as Aeron Meshew led the Titans with a 455 series and Chad Harper added 431. Sam Fleming led the Generals with 419.
