THIS WEEK’S 300 GAMES
TED KAYS JR.: Kays, a Killbuck right-hander, had a pair of 300 games during his 819 series at Triway Lanes. Kays had 300s during his first two games before finishing with 219 using a Storm Phase V. “I did a thing I have never done before. I threw the ball really well for two games then I got silly, and started trying too hard,” Kays said in a Facebook post. “It was definitely a different feeling than I have ever felt before.”
JASON GRIBBLE: Gribble, a 47-year-old Canton left-hander, recorded his 59th 300 during the Pizza Oven Classic league at Park Centre Lanes. Gribble shot 300 in Game 3 of his 705 series. He also owns 28 800 series, with a high of 847. He used a Storm Belmo Fate for the milestone. “I went through five balls up to the third game,” Gribble said. “I pulled out the Fate and told Tim Austin I am going to my Tim shot. Anyone who knows me knows I hate playing straight. I stood on 20 (board) and played up seven. It ended up working well.”
