H.S. bowling: Where are area teams going for the postseason?

Here is a rundown of where area teams will be going during high school bowling sectional, district and state play, which begins in February and concludes with the state tournaments in March in Columbus.

Several changes have been made, including the elimination of the Division I sectional-district for the East District and the addition of teams for the Stark Division I sectional.

DIVISION I NORTHEAST

SUMMIT DIVISION I SECTIONAL

BOYS TEAMS (17): Archbishop Hoban, Barberton, Brunswick, Buckeye, Copley, Cuyahoga Falls, Akron East, Akron Ellet, Firestone, Highland, Kenmore-Garfield, Medina, Akron North (individual only), Norton, Tallmadge, Walsh Jesuit, Woodridge

WHO ADVANCES TO STATE: Top six boys and girls teams plus top six individuals who are not members of advancing teams go to state.

FORMAT: Three regular games, six Baker System games.

DATES: District is 10 a.m. Feb. 26 (boys) and 10 a.m. Feb. 27 (girls) at Stonehedge Family Fun Center in Akron. Division I state tournament is March 10-11 at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl in Columbus.
