MARK PROSISE: The 60-year-old Jackson Township resident recorded his fourth career 300 in the Pizza Oven Classic league at Park Centre Lanes. Promise hit his milestone in Game 3 of his 742 series. He has a high career series of 802 and used a Roto Grip Cell for his milestone game. “It’s good to bowl well and have fun with my teammates. A special thanks to Dan Freeman, who kept pushing me to do my best,” Prosise said.
CHAD BELL: The 34-year-old right-hander had his seventh career 300 game in the Friday Night Eagles league at Minerva Bowl. Bell had his milestone game in Game 2 of his 683 series. He has a career high series of 801 and used a DV8 Notorious for his milestone game. “I’ll remember missing my mark on the 12th ball and still carrying for the 300,” Bell said.
WOMEN’S 700 SERIES
JANET SMITH: Smith, a 52-year-old Akron right-hander, had her first 700 series in the Custom Poly Ladies league at Park Centre Lanes. Smith had games of 197o, 278 ad 2334 for 709. Her previous high was 693. The 278 also was a career high. “The highlight for me was getting 10 strikes in a row in Game 2 and not realizing that I could be getting a 700 series,” Smith said.
