THIS WEEK’S 300 GAMES
FRANK TESTA: Testa, a 40-year-old Massillon right-hander and owner of Ten Back Pro Shop, had his 60th career 300 game in the Northeast Ohio Travel League at Spins Bowl Akron. Testa had 300 in Game 3 of his 683 series using a Radical Katana Assault. He also owns 50 800 series with a high of 857. “My best memory will be having my wife and mother-in-law there to witness it,” Testa said.
JUSTIN McILVAIN: McIlvain, a 30-year-old Alliance right-hander, had his 29th career 300 in the Northeast Ohio Travel League at Spins Bowl Akron. McIlvain had 300 in Game 1 of his 743 series. He has 12 career 800 series with a high of 874 and used a Hammer 3D Offset Attack for his milestone. “I’ll remember pulling the shot inside on the final ball and praying I wouldn’t bucket,” McIlvain said. “It ended with a light mixer that happened to carry.”
TONY CONFALONE: Confalone, a 55-year-old Perry Township right-hander, had his fifth career 300 in the Northeast Ohio Travel League at Spins Bowl Akron. Confalone had 300 in Game 2 of his 718 series and used a Hammer Black Widow 2.0. He has four career 800 series with a high of 811. “I’ll remember getting that 300 in the travel league,” Confalone said.
CHAD BELL: Bell, a 34-year-old Minerva right-hander, had his second 300 in less than a week in the Consumers National Bank Classic league at Minerva Bowl. He also shot 300 in the Friday Eagles league. Bell had 300 in Game 2 of his 738 series for his eighth career 300. He owns one career 800 series and used a DV8 Notorious for his milestone.
700 SERIES
CHUCK SMITH: Smith, a 44-year-old right-hander, had his first 700 series in the Hannon Electric league at Park Centre Lanes. Smith had games of 242, 254 and 236 for 732. He has a career high game of 290. He used a Radical Innovator and Track Tactix for his milestone. “I’ll remember of the second game when I had the first five strikes and then left a split,” Smith said. “I then had a nine spare in the seventh, but went off the sheet.”
