USBC Queens: Reid is qualifying leader

DAYTON — Trisha Reid finished with 1,412 total pinfall over the opening six games to take the qualifying lead during Saturday’s Ohio State USBC Queens Tournament at Beaver Vu Lanes.

Reid, representing the Central Ohio USBC, posted a high game of 265 to hold a 28-pin lead over Dayton’s Audra Fields (1,384).

The top 46 players in the 92-player field advanced to the six-game semifinal round held later Saturday. The top 16 from that round will advance to Sunday’s double-elimination match play rounds beginning at 9 a.m.

Tabitha Schlupe from Portage County earned the final qualifying spot with 1,220.

Among those making the cut was Mandi Testa, representing the Stark County USBC, who was 33rd with 1,252.
