
COSHOCTON — The Perry High School girls and Warsaw River View girls captured titles during Saturday’s Muskingum Invitational at Legacy Lanes.
Perry, the leaders after three regular games and three Baker System games in qualifying with 2,798 total pinfall, swept past Conotton Vallay 2-0 (163-136, 160-135) in the best-of-three Baker System championship finals.
Following qualifying, the 15-team boys and 14-team girls fields were cut to the top eight for the best-of-three match play finals by seed.
In the boys division, Perry also topped qualifying with 2,798. But the Panthers were beaten by No. 8 seed Reynoldsburg 2-1 (181-202, 144-131, 162-212) in their opening match.
Reynoldsburg advanced to the finals, but was beaten by River View 2-1 in the finals (171-160, 155-191, 181-180). The champions won the deciding game by just one pin.
Individually, Indian Valley’s Daniel Grewell was the top boys individual with 633 while Conotton Valley’s Mackenzie Willoughby led the girls with 586.

RAIDER COLLEGIATE H.S. CHALLENGE: Kettering Fairmont’s boys and Urbana’s girls topped the field at the Raider Collegiate at Poelking South. The tourney consisted of two regular games and eight Baker System games in qualifying before the respective field were cut to the top eight for four-game Baker rounds, with the field being cut in half each time. Fairmont topped Ashland 463-365 in the boys finals while Urbana stopped Fairmont 328-285 in two Baker games.
