H.S. bowling: Green’s Perrine ties school record; matches from Jan. 18

AKRON — For the second time this week, a high school girls bowler rolled a series that ranked among the top 10 all-time in the Stark County High School Bowling Conference.

Green High School junior Madison Perrine tied the Bulldogs’ school game record with a 290 in Game 1 during a 2,194-1,749 victory over North Canton Hoover on Thursday at Station 300 Akron.

Perrine’s score ties her sister, Marissa Perrine, who set the mark last season when the latter was the Federal League and division most valuable player.

Madison finished with a 524 series after a 234 in Game 2, which ranks her sixth all-time in the Stark conference. Marissa Perrine ranks fourth overall with 537, also rolled last season.

Triway senior Emma Yoder rolled a 538 series Wednesday to stand third on the all-time list.

Senior Elena Hughes also shot 401 for the Bulldogs during Thursday’s win.
