The Ohio High School Athletic Association has announced its sites for sectional and strict competition for the 2024 bowling season.
The state tournaments will be held March 1-2 (Division II) and 8-9 (Division I) at HP Lanes in Columbus, a first-time site for both events. Tickets will be available on-line only with no cash at the door since these are not held at the schools.
Here is the list of area sectionals by district. We will update with prices or changes when available:
EAST DISTRICT
(There is no Division I sectional or district)
BOYS DIVISION II
When: Tuesday, Feb. 13, shifts at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Where: St. Clair Lanes, St. Clairsville
Teams: Session I (8 a.m., 12 teams)—Barnesville, Beallsville (individual), Beaver, Bridgeport (individual), Buckeye Local, East Liverpool, Martins Ferry, Maysville, Monroe Central, St. Clairsville, St. John Central, Union Local; Session II (2 p.m., 12 teams)— Carrollton, Claymont, Conotton Valley, Garaway, Harrison Central, Indian Valley, Minerva, Newcomerstown, River View, Sandy Valley, Tuscarawas Central Catholic, West Holmes.
Format: Three regular games, six Baker System games
Qualifiers: Top six teams and six individuals not on a qualifying teams from the combined shifts will advance to the noon, Feb. 22 district tournament at Legacy Lanes in Coshocton. Scores from first shift will not be posted until the second shift is completed.
