NORTH CANTON — Kmetz Properties finished with 3,606 total pinfall to take first place in the Stark County USBC’s 103 annual Open Championships at Park Centre Lanes.
The Kmetz team of Rick Kmetz, Robert Smer, Billy Dorsey, Shawn Loutsenhizer and Chuck Smith took first place by 31 pins in complete, but unofficial results. Hooligan Bowlers of Alliance were second with 3,574, followed by Pickup Artists of Canal Fulton with 3,567.
Low to cash was at 3,526, which included the top 10 teams.
Singles and doubles begin May 5 with 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. shifts. Monday and Tuesday shifts are filled, with the next open shift being 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

COLLEGE BOWL TOURNAMENTS ENDS SEASON
CANTON — The College Bowl Tournaments group’s final event is set for May 11 at Eastbury Bowling Center.
Only bowlers who have participated in four of the group’s events this season are eligible for the finale, which begins at 10 a.m. and carries a $65 entry fee. There will be $1,840 added to the prize fund for this tourney.
The list of participants includes: Branden Ball, Brian Ball, John Barnard, Brandon Clifford, Ray Cook, Chelsea Dorosky, Bob Eckenrode, Katelynn Eldred, Jim Fellows, Andrew Fraleigh, Jesse Gonzales, Josh Haddad, Mark Herdlick, Joe Hostetler, J.D. Jones, Frank Kaczyński, Brandon Leggett, Michael Leggett, Alex Lincoln, Alex McCourry, Dave McLaughlin, Dave Mramor Jr., John Price, John Randolph, Rob Sample, Kevin Schott, John Shreve Jr., Derrick Simon, Frank Testa, Scott Vandegrift, Tim Voytko, Tony Wagner and Keith Zeigler.
Entry blanks will be sent to all participants.
The format remains four qualifying games on the house oil pattern before the cut to the top eight for single-game match-play elimination rounds.
