The next College Bowl Tournaments event will be a singles at 10 a.m. Jan. 18 at AMF Hall of Fame Lanes in Canton.
Entry fee is $65, with bowlers rolling four qualifying games before the field is cut to the top eight for single-game match play rounds until the final two bowl for the title.

ALLIANCE MASTERS: The third annual Alliance Masters is set for 9 a.m. Feb. 23, with just two centers — Christopher Columbus Lanes and Alliance Elks Lodge — being utilized this season. Entry fee is $110, with bowlers rolling four first-round games at “The Christopher” before the field is cut in half for the second round of three more games at the Elks. After seven total games, the field will be cut to the top 16 for single-elimination bracket match play by seed. Match play will continue until two remain to bowl for the title. KLONOWSKI MEMORIAL: The 33rd annual John Klonowski Memorial Scratch Singles is set for 9 a.m. Feb. 2 at Eastbury Bowling Center in Canton. Entry fee is $120 with a $10 option high-game pot. Bowlers will roll five qualifying games before the field is cut to the top 20 for two-game elimination match play by seed. Winners then advance to a second round of two-game match play before the final five bowl in a stepladder format. The event will be bowled on a house oil pattern. OHIO MATCHPLAY TOURNAMENTS: The No. 3 seeded team of Butch Ferrell, Adam Barta and Ryan Liederbach captured the Wayne Webb Green Machine Trios event recently at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl. The trio defeated the No. 4 seeded team of Michael Llaneza, Joey Barnett and Lacey Moore in the finals, with 24 teams in the field. Ric McCormick led individual play with 967 over four games, followed by Michael Tang with 954. Tang, Seve Leffel and Chris Via were the tournament leaders with 2,855 for four qualifying games. Also, in thes Edmond annual New Year’s Eve event at Sequoia Pro Bowl, Mike Clark Jr. defeated Jaime Fink 225-192 to claim the title in the 24-player field. HIT DEM: POCKETS: The 10th annual HDP MLK Classic is set for Jan. 18 and 19 at North Woods Lanes in Macedonia. LEGACY LANES: The annual Snow Bowl Tournament is set for 1 p.m. Jan. 12 at Legacy Lanes and Lounge in Coshocton. Entry fee is $30 with bowlers rolling four games, including a 3-6-9 strikes in Game 1; no-tap in Game 2; “frost bite” in Game 3 (any split is a strike); and regular bowling in Game 4. OHIO STATE USBC: Tournament sites have been established for the 2025 Ohio State USBC Open, Women’s and Youth tournaments. The Ohio State USBC Open tournament will be weekends from Feb. 15 through May 4 in Summit County. The team event will be at AMF Riviera Lanes while the doubles and singles will be at Station 300 (formerly Stonehedge). The women’s championships will be weekends from March 22 through April 13 in Stark County, with the team event at Eastbury Bowling Center and singles and doubles at AMF Hall of Fame Lanes.
