CANTON —The next College Bowl Tournaments Series event will be a 50-50 doubles, set for 10 a.m. Feb. 8 at Park Centre Lanes in North Canton.
Doubles teams will have one bowler age 50 or older and one bowler age 49 and under. Entry fee is $130, with bowlers rolling five qualifying games before the field is cut to the top four teams for single-game elimination match play.

HDP: Hit Dem Pockets will hold a Sunday Handicap Doubles Sweeper at 5 p.m. Feb. 16 at North Woods Lanes in Macedonia. Entry fee is $120 per team, with handicap being 80 per ent of 210. MARCH MADNESS: The Creative Touch March Madness tournament is set for 9 a.m. March 23 at Clutch Lanes and Sports Center. Entry fee is $100, with first place paying $2,000, based on 64 bowlers. Bowlers will roll three games to determine placement into the round of 64 for two-game bracket match play based on total pinfall. ALLIANCE MASTERS: The third annual Alliance Masters is set for 9 a.m. Feb. 23, with just two centers — Christopher Columbus Lanes and Alliance Elks Lodge — being utilized this season. Entry fee is $110, with bowlers rolling four first-round games at “The Christopher” before the field is cut in half for the second round of three more games at the Elks. After seven total games, the field will be cut to the top 16 for single-elimination bracket match play by seed. Match play will continue until two remain to bowl for the title. LEGACY LANES: The fourth annual Mixed Doubles event is set for March 29, April 5 and 12 at Legacy Lanes and Lounge in Coshocton. Entry fee is $60 per team, with Saturday shifts at 3 p.m. and Sunday shifts at 12:30 p.m.
OHIO MATCHPLAY TOURNAMENTS: OMT40 will hold its inaugural 40-and-over Winter Classic at 1 p.m. Feb. 8 at Holiday Lanes in Columbus. Entry fee is $100, with bowlers rolling five qualifying games before the field is cut of single-game match play. This tourney is for bowlers ages 40 and older. For information, go to:
ROSELAND LANES: The Ice Bowl 3 handicap singles event is set for 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at Roseland Lanes in Oakwood with a $40 entry fee per event.
PBA UPDATES
PBA Hall of Famer Parker Bohn III stopped Ron Hurt 239-236 in the title match to win the PBA50 Plaza Lanes Central-Midwes Open on Sunday at Plaza Lanes in Crawfordsville, Ind.
Bohn, the No. 1 seed during qualifying with 1,966 total pinfall over eights games (245.75 average), went 8-4 in match play to also top the field with 5,057.
Hurt was the second seed, topping Springfield’s Michael Haggitt 243-215 in thes semifinal match. Haggitt had defeated Troy Stus 269-258 in the opening of the stepladder finals.
The next Central Region event is the PBA Lucky Strike-Evansville Central-Midwest Open, a one-day event, March 21-22 in Evansville, Ind.
