DOVER — Landon Lebiche broke New Philadelphia High School’s record with a 579 series during Monday’s match win over Wooster at Boulevard Lanes in Dover.

The Quakers junior right-hander had 300-279 during his two-game set to better his previous school mark. It was his first 300 game and the first shot in the Ohio Cardinal Conference this season.

Labiche is averaging 223 this season through 16 games, tied for third overall in the OCC. Ashland bowlers hold five of the top six spots, with Landon Dreibelbis leading the league at 230.

Labiche was a member of the Quakers team that made its first state appearance a year ago in the OHSAA Division I championships, where the Quakers finished 15th as a team. He shot 533 at HP Lanes in Columbus.

North Canton Hoover’s Anthony Inzetta still holds the Stark County Conference record of 579, set during the 2013-14 season.
