CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — Desron Weatherspoon fired a 900 series on Saturday in the Saturday Elite Bowling league at AMF Airport Lanes, according to social media posts.

The last certified 900 was by Bryan Deck at Rose City Bowl in New Castle, Ind., on June 20, 2022. Also, two-handed lefty A.J. Rice fired a 900 on Feb. 3, 2024, in an uncertified tournament in Spartanburg, S.C..

Weatherspoon on Wednesday said in a Facebook post that he fired his 20th career perfect game and fourth this season using a Motiv Venom Recoil.

But he was just getting warmed up, as he added 300s 21, 22 and 23 at Airport Lanes using a Hammer Obsession Tour.

Pending USBC certification, Weatherspoon’s 900 would be the 41st certified 900 series.
