CANTON —The next College Bowl Tournaments Series event will be a singles event at 10 a.m. March 8 at Eastbury Bowling Center.
Entry fee is $65, with players bowling four qualifying games on a house oil pattern before the field is cut to the top eight for single-game match play by seed.
Including this event, only one more remains for players to bowl the requisite four events to be eligible for the CBT series finale on May 10 at Park Centre Lanes.
The 22 players who qualify at this point include: Brian Ball, Brandon Clifford, Matt Coffelt, Ray Cook, Bob Eckenrode, Jim Fellows, Mark Herdlick, Steve Hlabse, Joe Hostetler, Alex Lincoln, Eric Long, Brett McCourry, John Shannon Price, John Randolph, Tucker Robbins, Robert Sample, Chris Simon, Derrick M Simon, Mike Spitale, Ryan Trowbridge, Dexter Worthy, and Keith Zeigler.

HDP: Hit Dem Pockets will hold a Sunday Handicap Doubles Sweeper at 5 p.m. March 2 at North Woods Lanes in Macedonia. Entry fee is $120 per team, with handicap being 80 percent of 210. High team during each game of the five-game qualifier will also bowl for a separate bonus. The team of Zach Howman and Jonathan Caugherty captured the February sweeper, with Jason Johnson and Mike Clark Jr. finishing second and Dell Ray Jr. and Meeco Walker taking third. MARCH MADNESS: The Creative Touch March Madness tournament, set for 9 a.m. March 23 at Clutch Lanes and Sports Center, is sold out with a waiting list being started Entry fee is $100, with first place paying $2,000, based on 64 bowlers. Bowlers will roll three games to determine placement into the round of 64 for two-game bracket match play based on total pinfall. ALLIANCE MASTERS: The third annual Alliance Masters was postponed due to illness. A reschedule date has not been announced.
LEGACY LANES: The fourth annual Mixed Doubles event is set for March 29, April 5 and 12 at Legacy Lanes and Lounge in Coshocton. Entry fee is $60 per team, with Saturday shifts at 3 p.m. and Sunday shifts at 12:30 p.m.
OHIO MATCHPLAY TOURNAMENTS: The OMT Park Lanes Challenge was held Feb. 22, with Steve Leffel capturing the event in the 40-player field. Bill Watson was second. The next even it the second annual Match Game Championships at Sequoia Pro Bowl in Columbus on March 8. For information, go to:
