GREEN — The Stark County High School Bowling Conference’s 23rd annual East-West All-Star Match is set for 10:30 a.m. March 22 at Apollo 3 Bowling Center.
Admission is free.
Coaches for the East team are Minerva’s Dana Keister and Louisville’s Courtney Stallman for the girls, and Carrollton’s Joe Phillis for the boys.
West team coaches are Green’s Alex Snowberger and Perry’s Joe Altimore III for the girls, and Perry’s Mark Boron for the boys.
The format will be two regular games and six Baker System games.

Here are the final SCHSBC statistics for the 2024-25 season. We will unveil the all-conference teams following the April 6 banquet at 3 p.m. at Raintree Golf and Events Center in Green when the players and coaches of the year will be announced.
Tickets, at $22 each, will be available during the all-star match.
JTBA OPENS SEASON
COLUMBUS — The Junior Tournament Bowlers Association (JTBA) welcomed 175 bowlers to its JTBA Welcome Back Youth Open on Sunday at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace.
Participants each bowled five qualifying games before the respective fields were cut for match play. Match play consisted of two-game total pin battles.
In the boys 18U division, No. 4 seed Elliott Gordon stopped No. 6 seed Zachary Abbott, a Lake High School senior, 505-467 to earn the win. Abbott stopped Brooklyn’s Adam Cowper 461-448 during the semifinals while Gordon defeated No. 1 seed Isaiah Durflinger 514-375.

U15: Parma Padua freshman Zachary Mayne, who set the state individual scoring record Saturday with 858 at HP Lanes, was the No. 1 seed and topped No. 3 seed Andrew Stifler 443-405.
Girls
U18: No. 2 seed Danica Roseberry of Kettering Fairmont defeated No. 5 seed Mackenzie Pilny from Fairport Harbor Harding 378-375.
U15: No. 1 seed Lydia Gordon defeated No. 2 seed Aydreigh Hanicq 333-332.
Mixed
U12: No. 3 seed Aaron Cabiness d. No. 1 seed Rylan Mills 442-439.

MINI-CITY IS SET
NORTH CANTON — The second annual Stark County USBC Mini City Youth Tournament is set for March 15 and 16 at Park Centre Lanes.
Shifts are at 2 p.m. both days, with entry fee being $10 per event with a $2 optional all-events fee. Bowlers can participate in singles and doubles (Saturday) and trio (Sunday). Scholarship money will be available.
