Bowling notebook: Strike Zone reopens; Stark USBC holds annual meeting

CANTON — Strike Zone Lanes, which has been closed since July 2024, has officially reopened under new management.

The center, located at 1222 Whipple Ave. NW, and now being operated by former owner Paul Kasapis, opened its doors again Tuesday. The center will be opened at 5 p.m. daily and on weekends.

It is offering a special Sunday through Thursday during its reopening of buy two games get one free.

STARK USBC HOLDS MEETING

CANTON — The Stark County USBC will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. May 28 at Meadowlake Golf, Swim and Event Center, 1211 39th St. NE.

Election of vice president, three directors and delegates to the state and national conventions will held.

Also on the agenda is the announcement of the 2025 scholarship winners along with tournament checks for the Stark County USBC Open and Women’s championships being presented.
