CANTON — Unofficial team event results for the 105th annual Stark County USBC Open City and 93rd annual Women’s Handicap Tournament have been announced by the Stark County USBC
Both events begin April 26 and concluded May 1 at AMF Hall of Fame Lanes. Singles and doubles events begin at 1 p.m. May 3 and conclude May 8 at the same site.

In the Open division, the Alliance team of Little Cheesy Sprouts took honors with 3,501 total pinfall. Members of the team include Don Sprout (790 series), Cameron Little (726), Danny Cheezan (632), Ben Sprout (651) and Shaun Cheezan (701).
In the Women’s event, the Spare Me team of Jodi Thomas (490), Steph Frock (485), Staci Thomas (600), Nikki Fanizzi (549) and Kara Kutz (659) took first-place honors.
There were four 300s shot during the event by Jonathan Marchand, Adam Webb, Derrick Simon and Cooper Smith.
Sprout posted the high series of 790 for the week, Other top-five series in the Open division included Adam Webb 787; Brian Huscusson 770; Cooper Smith 769 and Ryan Liederbach 768.
In the women’s event, Kamryn Smith posted the high series with 686, followed by Kutz 659; Tina Peters 659; Tiffany Schmitt 634 and Mandi Testa 624.
Canton’s Laria Chevrolet Buick finished second with 3,479, with low to cash being 3,399 in the Open event.
Re-Max Trends Reality 2 of Uniontown was second in the women’s division with 3,122, with low to cash being 2,715.



TRIWAY WINS CUP
WOOSTER — Triway captured the Ashland Wooster Drive Inn Cup 11-8 over Ashland recently at Ballerz Sports Club.
The event featured team competition, with rounds of Baker System team and doubles and singles events. Both teams have won once in the previous two years of the event.

JTBA EVENT
COLUMBUS — Ashland’s Max Oeken and Bellefontaine’s Kyndallyn Hood captured 18U titles during the Junior Tournament Bowlers Association (JTBA) Wayne Webb’s Youth Open recently at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.
The JTBA’s final regular-season event of 2026 season drew 103 entries over five divisions.
Champions in other divisions included Mason Woodward (16U boys), Rookie Hastings (16U girls) and Asa Wilson0-Perry (14U boys).
The 46th annual JTBA Championships, originally scheduled for May 9-10, has been canceled.
The final event on the JTBA calendar is the MWUSA Junior Gold Preview, set for June 28 at Beaver Vu Lanes in Beavercreek.
