COLDWATER — Urbana left-hander Graham Fach earned his second win at Pla-Mor Lanes, stopping two-handed right Ethan Fiore 217-213 in the title match of the PBA Bowlerstore com Central Classic on Sunday.
Fach, the No. 3 seed entering the stepladder finals after 17 games, stopped Trae Henreichsmeyer 243-184 in his opening match and then topped No. 2 seed AJ Johnson, the winner of an event earlier in the week in Delphos, 223-217.
Fach earned $10,000 for the win. In addition, Fiore won the top prize in the Brunswick Cup — which goes to the player who has the best overall finishes in the events at Minster, Delphos and Coldwater. That was worth $4,000, with Fach finishing second to earn an additional $3,000. He also eared $5,000 for finishing second. Others cashing in the Budweiser Cup were Hayden Hale ($2,000) and Patrick Dombrowski ($1,000)
Fach was the top qualifier after eight games with 1,807, an average of 218. The cut to the top 16 was at 2,440, with Steve Novak earning that spot by eight pins over Zeke Bayt.
Bowlers then returned Sunday for seven more games before the field was cut to the top eight. Two more games followed with Henreichsmeyer earning the final stepladder spot by 22 pins over Tom Smallwood.

The PBA50 players will be in Charleston, W.Va., this weekend for the PBA50 C Adam Toney Tire Pros Central-South Open at Galaxy Lanes.
YOUTH BOWLING: STARK USBC SETS CLINIC
CANTON — The Stark County USBC Youth Committee will be holding a youth bowling clinic for ages 7 through 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 30 at Eastbury Bowling Center.
Committee members will be instructing bowlers on basic bowling knowledge (lane courtesy, pins numbers, keeping score), the physics game and strategy on the lanes.
The clinic fee is $20, which includes lunch.

HIGH SCHOOL: STARK CONFERENCE SETS ALUMNI TOURNAMENT
CANTON — The Stark County High School Bowling Conference has set its annual Alumni Baker Fund-raising Tournament for 9 a.m. Oct. 24 at Eastbury Bowling Center.
Entry fee for the scratch Baker System event is $200 per team, with teams limited to six bowlers per roster. Proceeds benefit the conference.
Each team must have players that attended the same school, reside in the school district or serves as a coach at the school. Players may bowl for other schools, but the entry fee is raised to $225.
Teams will bowl 12 Baker games (each player bowling two frames each) across five pairs of lanes before the field is cut to the top eight for best two-of-three match play by seed. Winners will then face off in the best two-of-three semifinals before the final two teams meet for the title, also best two-of-three.
First place will pay $800 based on 20 teams.
