Perry’s girls junior varsity took first place during Saturday’s Hornet Integrity JV tournament at Eastbury.

NORDONIA, PERRY CLAIM JV TITLES

The Nordonia High School boys and Perry girls topped their respective fields during Saturday’s Hornet Integrity JV tournament at Eastbury. Bowling Center.

The event drew 13 boys and 10 girls junior varsity teams, with the format being three regular games and five Baker System games.

Perry claimed the girls title with 3,106 total pinfall, finishing 99 pins ahead of second-place Triway (3,007) with Green (2,838) taking third.

Perry had three girls finish in the top seven individually, including Avery Witt (557 series), Taylor Stanford (506) and Emma Knutty (491).

Triway’s Sydney Wile was the top individual with a 564 series, three pins ahead of East Canton’s Isabel Weber (561).

Green was led by Natalie Noirot (470) and Victoria Schlue (461).

In the boys division, top individual Kyan Freyhauf had a 708 series to led Nordonia to the team title with 3,883, 347 pins ahead of second-place Perry (3,536) with Akron Hoban (3,483) taking third.

The Knights also had two other players finish in the top five, including Alden Bulanda (607) and Tyler Edgehuse (603).

Perry was led by Nick Harmon’s 667 series.
