District 2 officials announced Monday that due to extensive roof damage to Charger Lanes in Norton caused by multiple severe winter storms that moved through the Northeast Ohio area, the Ohio State USBC has made the decision to move the District 2 Spring Handicap Singles Tournament (aka the Pepsi tournament) to a different location.
“This decision was made out of concern for the safety and well-being of our young athletes, their families, friends, and spectators,” District 2 director Linda LeMay said in a statement.
District 2 includes Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Mahoning, Portage, Summit and Trumbull counties.
The tournament has been moved to AMF Riviera Lanes in Fairlawn. Tournament dates and squad times have not changed, with bowlers still bowling on the same days and times as they orginally requested.
