SCRATCH DOUBLES SWEEPER IN AKRON
AKRON — Spins Bowl Akron will hold another of its monthly scratch doubles sweeper events at 6 p.m. July 23.
Entry fee is $110 per team with teams rolling four qualifying games on the house oil pattern, moving every game, with the field then being cut to the top four for the single-elimination stepladder finals.

HALL OF FAME SERIES CONTINUES
CANTON — AMF Hall of Fame Lanes will host another of its Hall of Fame Summer Series events at 7 p.m. July 20.
Thursday’s event will be on the 2022 USBC Queens oil pattern. Bowlers will roll four qualifying games, moving after each game, with the top five advancing to a single-elimination stepladder finals.
Entry fee is $45, with first place paying $300, based on 50 entries. Payout are 1-in-5.
This is the fifth of the six Summer Series events, sponsored by Jimbo’s Landscaping. with each week’s winner and the top 20 on the Series points list qualifying for the end of the summer finale, set for Aug. 10 on the most difficult of the six patterns used.

IRON SHARPENS IRON SWEEPER
OAKWOOD — Roseland Lanes will host its weekly Iron :Sharpens Iron sweeper at 7 p.m. July 21.
Entry fee is $50, with bowlers this week bowling on the 32-foot PBA Wolf oil pattern. Bowlers will roll four qualifying games, moving after each game, with the finals format being adjusted on a weekly basis.
