CANTON — Oregon’s Jodi Woesner and Kent’s Rocio Restrepo are 1-2 in all-events scratch through two weekends of the Ohio State USBC Women’s Championships at AMF Hall of Fame Lanes (doubles and singles) and Eastbury Bowling Center.
Competition will continue weekends through April 13.
Woessner stands a 1,998 total pinfall, with Restrepo at 1,973. Emily Brunswick of St. Henry holds the lead in handicap all-events with 2,345, followed by Carrollton’s Jennifer Casey (2,232).

AKRON — A pair of bowlers participating out of Lewis Center continue to lead the scratch all-events category through seven weekends during the Ohio State USBC Open Championships, being conducted at AMF Riviera Lanes in Fairlawn (team) and Station 300 (doubles and singles) in Akron.
Cassidy Schaub holds the overall lead with 2,096, followed by Dan Higgins with 2,037. The tournament runs weekend through May 4.

COLLEGE BOWL UPDATE
COLLEGE BOWL TOURNAMENTS: The final regular-season College Bowl Tournament Series event will be a regular doubles at 10 a.m. April 19 at AMF Hall of Fame Lanes. This is a change from the original schedule due to the Ohio USBC Women’s State Tournament.
Entry fee is $130 per team, with teams bowling four qualifying games before the field is cut to the top eight for single-game elimination match play.
To qualify for the year-end singles tournament at 10 a.m. May 10 at Park Centre Lanes, bowlers must have bowled in at least four series events. Following the March event, there are 34 bowlers who are eligible, including (in alphabetical order): Branden Ball, Brian Ball, Chase Barstow, Brandon Clifford, Matt Coffelt, Ray Cook, Bob Eckenrode, Jim Fellows, Josh Haddad, Mark Herdlick, Steve Hlabse, Joe Hostetler, Brandon Leggett, Alex Lincoln, Eric Long, Alex McCourry, Brett McCourry, Dave McLaughlin, John Shannon Price, John Randolph, Tucker Robbins, Robert Sample, Chris Simon, Derrick Simon, Mike Spitale, Jeff Sustarsic, Ryan Suter, Frank Testa, Ryan Trowbridge, Scott Vandegrift, Jack Wells, Jim Williams, Dexter Worthy, and Keith Zeigler. PORTAGE COUNTY SENIORS: The Portage County Senior Memorial Tournament is set for 10 a.m. April 6 at Spins Bowl Kent in Kent. Entry fee is $45. Bowlers must be ages 50 o oder to participate in the handicap event (with handicap being 90 percent of 225). Bowles will roll three qualifying games with at least 1-in-5 advancing to the finals. Bowlers in the finals will roll two more games with total pinfall determining winners. Bowlers will roll four games at Spins Bowl Kent at 9 a.m. April 12 and four more games at Sky Lanes at 3 p.m. Sunday, bowlers will roll four more games at 11th Frame at 9 a.m. with total pinfall carrying over. All blocks will be on a house oil pattern. The field will then be cut to the top 16 for bracket double-elimination match play. The top three will bowl the stepladder finals. CLEVELAND MASTERS: AND QUEENS: The Bernie Vozar Masters and Jacqueline Kirk-Terrell Queens are set for 9 a.m. April 19 at AMF Brookgate Lanes in Brookpark. HDP HOLDS DOUBLES A Hit Dem Pockets Sunday Handicap Doubles is set for 5 p.m. April 6 at North Woods Lanes in Macedonia. Entry fee is $120 per team, with handicap being 80 percent of 210. Teams each bowl five games with total pinfall determining final placers. In addition, the top team in each game will roll a sixth game for an additional pot.
