
GREEN — West teams earned a sweep during the 23rd Stark County High School Bowling Conference All-Star Matches on Saturday at Apollo 3 Bowling Center.
The all-star match format was two regular team games and six Baker System games.
In the boys match, coaches Mark Boron (Perry) and Dustin Dingler (Jackson) led the West to a 3,123-2,919 win. The West held a 1,935-1.893 lead after the two regular games and then shot 1,188 over its six Baker games to secure the victory.
GlenOak senior Xzavier Gardener had the high game in the boys division and for the West with 278 as each player on each team bowled one game, with Green senior Anthony Bordonaro being the lone player to bowl two games. He finished with a 393 series, including a 222 in Game 2, for the East.

In the girls division, the West rolled to a 2,658-2,363 win, including outscoring the East 1,664-1,455 in the two regular games. Green’s Alex Snowberger and Perry’s Joe Altimore III led the winners.
Green senior Madison Perrine had the lone 200 game with 208 in Game 1 and finished with a 383 series to lead the West.
The West girls also had the lone 200 Baker game with 202 in Game 1.
Players from both teams received medals and t-shirts for participating.
The conference’s annual banquet is set for 3 p.m. April 6 at Raintree Golf and Event Center in Uniontown. Tickets are $22 each.
Tickets still will be available at Heighway Awards and Apparel, located at Park Centre Lanes, 7313 Whipple Ave. NW this week. Tickets will be on sale from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. No additional tickets will be sold after Saturday.

TOLEDO MASTERS
TOLEDO — A field of 69 bowlers participated during Saturday’s Triple T Toledo Masters at the Toledo Sports Center with Dylan Jablonski securing the victory with a 253-228 win over AJ Rice in the title match.
Jablonski and Rice were 1-2 during qualifying, with the former finishing with 1,211 total pinfall over his five qualifying games and Rice finishing with 1,176. Both received first-round byes in match play.
The top 14 advanced to match play and earned cash spots, with Nick Gogot being the cut at 1,033, just two pins ahed of Thomas Kowal.
